Joseph is an amazing young man with the largest, happiest smile. He is a very good friend and enjoys to make other people happy. He has always believed that his education is very important and always taken it very seriously. He knew it would be a struggle for his family to pay for higher education, but without it, he would be unable to pursue his dream of being a teacher in the primary schools. Joseph is one of two students involved in Maphunziro Project that has already graduated secondary school and passed onto pursuing college. Joseph wants to be a teacher because he has seen the power education has on a child in the developing world and he wants to make an imprint in his learners to show them how important it is. Joseph has struggled tremendously with paying his school fees. He started his college with a sponsor from a local organization. However, the sponsor stopped assisting him very early on to his education. He has been looking vigorously for someone else who can help him pursue his education and dream of being a teacher. Because he is a college student, his school fees are slightly higher. For the three years of his college education, the total school fee is 550,000 Kwachas or $764 USD. Because of he has been unable to find another sponsor for his school fees, he has thus far paid very little of these fees. He has currently paid 40,000 Kwachas or $55.55 USD. He remains with 510,000 Kwachas or $708.33 USD. He will graduate from Amalika in July of 2019. With only three terms left, the price for school fees is $236 USD per term.
